Remote sensing in the broad sense (i.e. including the satellite imagery and air photography) is an invaluable source of information for the study of the environment.
N.A.D.A.R. contributed to numerous studies of environmental resources and impact studies:
- Impact study (air pollution) of a petrol refinery on an urban environment in Mohammédia ( Morocco);
- Air photo inventory and cartography of sites of discharges in Belgium (among which certain illegal sites);
- ir photo, cartography and multi-date follow-up of the Walvis Bay lagoon ( Namibia): protection of a fragile littoral ecosystem;
- Using satellite remote sesning to assess the environmental impact of a large hydropower plant in Cana Brava, Brazil (ESA / SUEZ project)
